I first noticed the morning sun which was changing the sky from dawn to full sunlight and took this picture from a bedroom window.
I went outside (still in my housecoat – you can do that when you live in the country) – to enjoy the beautiful morning.
As I purposely took a deep breath and breathed in the morning air and looked toward the sky, I noticed the moon was still hanging around.
It always pleases me when I can see the sun coming up in the east before the moon has gone down in the west to begin its rule over the nighttime on the other side of the earth.
I love seeing the moon in the morning as the sun comes up! Somehow it increases the connectedness of the world! And that’s something else that you can do in the country more often than in the city, where there’s too much light to see that moon!
This time of year I have to be outside to see both at the same time – because of the angle of our house. I can see the sunrise from my La-Zee-Boy, but the moon is blocked by the garage.
Beautiful! I wish I could see the sunrise from my place – it might even make me a morning person!! ?
Maybe you will have to get a tent and sleep outside – facing east. 🙂
