Lunch and a Bluegrass Afternoon – Part 2

~~~
Saturday Afternoon, June 26
~~
We enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of bluegrass, smiles and laughter.
Raymond and Cerwin
Cerwin and his brother, Elvin.
I don’t remember this man’s name. He is a friend of Bryan.
It was good to hear Cerwin and Elvin singing. It has been a long time. We get together fairly often, but not often with instruments.
Bryan and Elvin (son and father)
CJ joined the group in the middle of the afternoon – after he was finished swimming.
Father and son
Three generations
They are kind of hidden in the background, but Cerwin’s sister Velda and her husband, Mel, were there. Mel is in the background, sitting on a chair. Velda is to his right (hidden) with a pink blouse. The three ladies on the left: Raymond’s wife, Anita, a friend, and Elvin’s wife, Pat (green chair).
The two men on either end joined the group later in the afternoon. Both play in bands and added some pizazz and variety to the singing and music.
This man isn’t used to bluegrass, but seemed to enjoy it. I asked him to to teach the guys some of his music. (He also plays in a band). He did a song by the Bee Gees and another by Beach boys. A few of the guys knew his songs and played and sang along.
It was better than being at a Bluegrass Festival!
Thanks Elvin and Crystal for inviting us.
