Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2
During the height of the storm we could barely see the farm.
Looking toward the neighbor’s house behind us.
Junco
Dove
Monday seemed like a good day to bake cinnamon rolls – out of a package. 🙂
Junco on a shepherd’s hook
In the dipper part of our colander feeder.
Before going to bed on Monday evening.
We could see the farm again this morning.
Everything was capped with many inches of snow.
Birds will not be able get to the birdseed for a few days. I sprinkled seed on the ground for them a couple of times during the day.
It doesn’t look like they will be able to use the birdbath either.
There were a few icicles this morning, but as the day’s temperature went above freezing some of them disappeared.
As snow began to melt – and slid over the bulb – we lost our satellite TV. Cerwin brushed the snow away and it returned immediately.
Cerwin came inside to remove his winter gear and noticed this pretty cardinal. He was the one behind the camera.
Snow blowing the driveway this afternoon – with snow flying toward the window where I stood.
This is when it was easy to see that we certainly had a foot of snow on the ground.
I was looking forward to seeing your pictures of the snow!! I love the red cardinal with the white snow background! Thanks!!
There is not photo opportunity quite like a male cardinal in snow.
