Birds I Enjoyed During the First Few Days of May

Female Cardinal

Cardinal Male

Catbird. I discovered they enjoy grape jelly as much as the orioles.

I noticed some red feathers under his tail, so Googled catbird – and they do have red feathers under their tail. There is always something to learn. 🙂

As far as I can tell, this is a female cowbird.

The Carolina Wren sits on this shepherds hook a lot these days – always singing.

Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Baltimore Oriole. Between the orioles and catbirds, I am filling the orange with grape jelly at least once a day – sometimes twice.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird – Male

I am certainly enjoying the new variety of birds that arrive here each spring.
