Windy Day Beauty

Friday, May 1

I didn’t realize it was so breezy until I went outside to get a few pictures. Cherry blossoms were flying around like pink snow.

Our driveway was lined with lots of pink.

Our oldest azalea bush was in full bloom.

Most of our tulips we finished blooming, but I still found a few that were just beginning to open.

Dogwoods were almost finished blooming and showing the wear of the spring wind and rain.

This is the first year that our redbud had pretty blooms.

Bumblebees were busy looking for nectar.

The rhododendron buds were bursting and about to open.

Jere, it is time to deal with our yard and kill these unwelcome weeds.

It is prime time for the ferns. I love watching them open.

We don’t know what kind of tree this is – in the woodsy area of our property.

That completes my windy day beauty.
