Cookies and More

We’ve had a generous donation of cookies this year. Maybe because people know that Josiah is living with us. 🙂

This plateful came from Jeff and Chris at our family Christmas.

On the same day we received 3 or 4 dozen cookies from Roy and Deb. This is a sampling of the kind they gave us. Oh, I just realized that I forgot to add one of the tiny, paper thin, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, sand tarts that an Amish lady makes for Deb to give me each year.

Later in the week, when Deb came to have supper with Diane and Josiah (we were in Florida) she brought several meals – roast beef, chili con carne, chicken and broccoli soup, and meat loaf. They have been so appreciated as it has been busy in my office this week due to end-of-year newsletters from TFC Staff.

These came from my sister while we were in Florida – and placed in the freezer by our daughter Diane.

I get a few cookies out of the freezer each morning so we can satisfy our sweet tooth each day.

Just as I was preparing this post there was a knock on the door, and we received another batch of cookies. These were from the food and grocery box packing today at our church. Thanks Sherry and Allison for being the delivery persons.

With these cookies there was also a gift certificate to Fox Meadows, a huge poinsettia, and a bag of snack mix (quickly chosen by Cerwin for his snack shelf.) All this to say thank you to me for printing the signs that go with the food and grocery boxes.

I love receiving delicious and beautiful gifts. Thank you, everyone.
