We knew we had a long day ahead of us, so left our motel by 4:30 am (3:30 Nashville time).

By 6:30 we were beginning to see signs of a sunrise.

I love driving during a sunrise because it changes every time you go around a corner.

Daylight revealed a cloud formation similar to the sunrise clouds.

Later – in the early morning daylight there was a clear sky with several misty, foggy areas.

By afternoon we were in full sunlight – enjoying the fall scenery.

Cerwin was not real impressed with the road construction, but we eventually got through it.

We had a great day of travel and arrived home in the early evening.
