We visited Josiah this afternoon. He is hurting, and glad for the availability of pain medication :), but he is stable and doing fairly well. He will have surgery tomorrow morning to do more repair to his right femur. On Thursday they plan to repair his hip. His hip socket is cracked. He has many weeks of healing ahead of him. We are incredibly grateful to God for His mercy in keeping Josiah and Tyler from having any head injuries as they were not wearing helmets. They hit (and broke) a telephone pole. Keep them in your prayers.
PS: Because many of our prayer warriors asked, I messaged Tyler’s wife for an update on him. This was her reply. “He is doing ok his pain is under control. Had surgery yesterday for his femur and is scheduled Tuesday for surgery on his pelvis.”
Yes, praise the Lord for no head trauma or spinal injuries. Both can be difficult to work through. We continue to pray for Josiah. How is his friend?
We did not visit Tyler, but we understand that he is doing well. His injuries don’t seem to be as complicated as Josiah’s. Thanks for praying.
So sorry Josiah is in pain — I hope the surgeries will eliminate that, but he will have a long healing process. It’s good that they broke the pole and not their skulls!
