Monday Afternoon, August 6
Oh, how delightful to meet Jade Mackenzie Rohrer – our third great-grandchild – but our first great-granddaughter. Born Friday night, August 3 – about 11:00 PM. 7 lbs. 2 oz.
She is so tiny and perfect.
I was amazed by the very small ID band on her tiny wrist.
It was wonderful to hold a baby girl. We haven’t had a baby girl in our family since Gloria was born 17 1/2 years ago. The last five babies have been boys: Ian, Jared, Jesse, Anthony, and Nicodemus.
I could have held her all afternoon.

She is the first child of our granddaughter Jenna and grandson-in-law Dustan. Jenna didn’t want me to post a picture of her in a hospital gown – so I located this one from a few weeks ago. 🙂

Congratulations — again! I missed Nicodemus — is he Elizabeth’s? Did you post photos of him yet?
No, we have not see him yet, so there have not been pictures. We will see him on Labor Day. Nsimba and Elizabeth haven’t posted pictures, but I have seen pictures and yesterday I saw him by video chat. 🙂 He is so cute.
Your family is really growing these days — I’ll look forward to the first photos of Nicodemus, too!
