Thursday Afternoon, March 8
This was a great place for lunch.
Choosing our pancakes – which were similar to crepes and were filled with almost anything you can think of.
This one appears to be filled with meat

These guys were trying to sell things to customers.
Then we were on our way to God’s Window – which is also part of the Blyde River Canyon.
Lilies were everywhere.
Steps to God’s Window
The platform at God’s Window
It was a beautiful view
After soaking in that view, we kept climbing to the Rain Forest area.
I had trouble keeping up with everyone because I just wanted to stop and soak in the beauty – and take pictures.
Someone told me that a genet (cat) had just gone into the underbrush. I found it, but could not get a good picture because of all the undergrowth.
I found this picture of a genet on the Internet.
Moving on and upward.
By this time everyone was far ahead of me.
There they are – at the top
There wasn’t room for us on the rock, so we stood in front of them. 🙂

I love scenery of every kind – but if I had to chose a favorite, it would be a rain forest.
It was time to head down the mountain.
When we got back to the parking lot, we were amused by this monkey looking for food in a trash can.
Our drummer boy (Ian) chose a drum for a souvenir.
This area had a great variety of local crafts.
I was fascinated with this lady’s pretty head dress.
Shortly after we left here, we drove through a downpour – creating a pretty rainbow.
I’ll show that to you tomorrow.
You’re getting some nice shots of the kids! The scenery, both at God’s Window and at the Rainforest, is absolutely gorgeous (no pun intended!)> I love rainforests for the lush greenery and the unique growth opportunities for the plant life!
Since we were together every day, there were plenty of opportunities to take pictures of them. : I agree about rainforests. I love the atmosphere of the lush greenery.
How could you choose just one souvenir??
It was tempting to bring a lot of things home. 🙂
