Birthday Supper With Grandchildren

Saturday, March 7

0Jenna and Dustan

This year, our goal is to take the Pennsylvania grandchildren out for their birthdays before winter is over – as everyone is too busy with spring and summer activities if we wait for individual birthdays.

1We gave them three dates, and the 7th was the only time it suited Dustan and Jenna.  Jenna’s birthday is in March and Dustan’s in June.

We called Longhorn Steakhouse when we left the house at 5:30 – they could not seat us until 7:30, so we tried Outback. They only had an hour-and-a-half wait, so we gave them our name. I think everyone in Lancaster County was eating out that night!

Since we had time to spare, we went to Kohl’s at Park City, because I had a gift certificate to spend. 🙂 I bought a pretty maxi skirt.

DSC_6912Steak and potatoes (sweet or regular) were what the other three ordered.

DSC_6913Each had a salad before the entrée arrived.

DSC_6915Me – I chose a fried lobster and shrimp appetizer and grilled asparagus.

It was an excellent choice.

DSC_6916None of us was hungry for dessert, but decided to share one raspberry cheesecake.

We each got just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth.

DSC_6917We are excited to welcome Dustan into our family. They are planning a September wedding.

It was delightful to spend an evening with them.
