March 3 – Cold with wind

March 5 – Cold and calm

March 7 – The day after the rain made a full birdbath.

March 11 – A new frog on a rainy day

Our Zook great grandchildren were here and named him Hop because he looks like he’s ready to hop out of the birdbath.

Ribbit was relegated to the ground where he had been for many years before we got the new birdbath.
When we got this birdbath (I think in 2024) a gift from our children because our other one broke, we went to a special birding store. When I asked him to sell me his favorite birdbath this is the one he suggested. I love it because it is light and easy to clean. The water container part lifts out of the frame and can easily be emptied. He did suggest that I put something heavy in it to keep it stable on windy days.
Ribbit was on the ground nearby and got the honor of being in the birdbath since then.
I had a $5 coupon for Esbenshade’s Greenhouses and decided to use it toward buying something fun. There were a variety of cute frogs. This one won my heart.

March 17 – A cold morning with a layer of ice and a few snowflakes

March 18 – The ice is thicker this morning.

March 20 – A dove stopped by for a drink

Then there were two

March 21 – It must be springtime. Today the visitor was a robin.

March 27 – Another rainy day
Today, March 31, the last day of March is warm and breezy. The birdbath story will probably be more boring than during the winter, so I will only include the birdbath in my daily stories when there is something unusual or there are bird visitors. …until next winter.
Hop has a lot of character!
I agree. He is so cute.
