Friday, October 10

We usually go to the Manheim Farm Show at least once during the week-long event. This year it was just to get lunch on Friday.
Farm Show recently built their own permanent French fry building.

We chose to go on Friday because that was the day Jere and Kristen were overseeing the French fry stand. The above photo is of Jere talking to his dad.

Kristen was making sure the ketchup, vinegar and salt and pepper area was organized while the rest of their team prepared and sold French fries.
We shared a cheese steak, vanilla milk shake, and an order of fries.
As we looked for an empty table, we found one similar to the photo below – a narrow table that collapses and creates a bench. See internet photo below.

To our dismay the table wasn’t latched, and our entire meal went to the ground. We were able latch the table and salvage about half of everything. When someone came up to the table as we were preparing to leave, we warned them about the latch, which was broken on one side and rather insecure on the other side. 🙂
Just thankful you weren’t hurt!
Yes, but it was a bit embarrassing. 🙂
I’m sorry the table collapsed, but glad you were not hurt. (at least as you described t!_) . That;s a pretty fancy buillding hust for french fries!
French fries are a big deal at this farm show. They are the best and people often come – just to have French fries and milk shakes. 🙂 That is mostly why we go.
