This is what our patio bank looked like yesterday morning – and the past few months. Last year the spreading juniper was still beautiful, but this year it began dying. I kept pulling out the dead stuff, but it continued to die during the early summer days.
We called Dave at Hershey Landscaping who came and looked at it. His conclusion was that it aged out – because it was probably 35 years old. We gave him and his crew the job of ripping it out, replacing it with new spreading juniper, and repairing the patio and steps.

Yesterday was the day to do this job.

This is what the bank looked like after they removed the old plants.

If you live in our area, call Dave Groff. They are the best!

They spent the afternoon planting Spreading Juniper and repairing the patio which was sinking into the juniper bank.

What a difference from morning to evening!

Love this!
Now we decided to have a handrail installed so Cerwin and I can easily go up the steps.
Love the new look. Love the handrail (rails) even better.
Thanks. Yes, we are looking forward to having handrails.
Beautiful! Love the “varied” look of the stones!
Inge
Yes. We like that too.
What a lovely place to sit on a nice evening — the job was well-done, and the railings will be an excellent addition!
Morning and evening are the good times to sit on our patio. The afternoon sun is too hot in the summertime.
