Cardinals always look spectacular in the snow.
The male seemed particularly brilliant.
The temperatures were warm enough last Tuesday to create many icicles.
The snow made everything look cold – even with a warm-looking sunset.

Those are beautiful shots of the cardinals — we don’t see many birds with such intense color, so they are extra special shots to me! And the last one could be a postcard or a Christmas card!
The mail cardinal is the most brilliant of our winter birds.
