Apple Dumplings
Wednesday, November 18 I love that our friends who like to cook and bake, sometimes bestow a tasty delight on us. Look at that! There were two of these. However, I didn’t remember to take a picture until one was eaten. Hot with milk – oh, yum. Thanks, Glenn and Rachel.
Posting For The Next Eight Days
Internet will be sporatic for the next 8 days, so my posting will be sporatic. 🙂
Lots of Rain
Thursday Afternoon, August 20 After a very dry, almost rain-free July and August, we were glad to hear that this was supposed to be a very rainy day. By 3:30 PM we were enjoying a downpour. By 5:00 PM our yard looked like a small river. When our rain gauge filled at five inches, Cerwin […]

Monday Afternoon, July 13 After leaving Great-grandma Hershey’s house, we went to Landis Homes to see Great-grandma High. Heading toward her room. We took Great-grandma for a walk to see the ducks, swans, and peafowl. There was a visitor to the pond – a great blue heron. I was pleased that it did not seem […]

In Honor of Our Fathers
My dad, Bruce Hershey, (left) and Cerwin’s dad, Elvin High, (right) were born the same year – just four months apart – and grew up during the depression. They were farmers and knew how to work long and hard. Both were godly, honest men who loved their wife and children. They became friends because their […]

Road Trip – Part 23 – Cutler Ridge And Clayton & Peggy
Sunday, April 19 We were out of the motel early because we had a two-hour drive to church – and there was a time change partway through the drive (Central to Eastern Standard), so we left at 6 AM to get to Cutler Ridge by 9 AM. We thought this was a clever advertisement. Then […]
Prayer Breakfast & More Snow
Saturday, February 21 We were out of the house early and headed into the sunrise as we traveled to the Lancaster Chapter Prayer Breakfast at Yoder’s in New Holland. I love driving into a sunrise when God is putting on a show. I shared my part first. I told about some of my experiences in […]

Icicles & A Squirrel
Wednesday, January 28 – This would have been my mother’s 93rd birthday. I loved the glitter of the sun shining on these icicles. They looked like glass. I wasn’t quite as thrilled to find a squirrel in this birdfeeder, but took advantage of the photo opportunity. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Going Home
Monday, January 26 Little lady covers her eyes as mom combs and sprays her hair. Their van is packed – full. It’s a snowy morning. We prayed with them – for their safety. It is also windy. Little man is wondering what is going on this early in the morning – this photo says that […]
It Was A “God Thing”
Saturday evening, January 24 It was just a week ago – when Reuben and Judi were still here with their two little ones. They wanted to take us out for supper as a thank you gift for allowing them to stay here while they waited for the legal paperwork to be able to take little man home. […]

Tuesday, January 6 Hezekiah showing off the afghan he got from Great-grandma High’s things. Elizabeth chose it for him because of the colors. He loves John Deere. He was pleased to know that Grandma crocheted it. He is on winter break from college in Presque Isle in northern Maine. I needed a current picture of him – […]
