Update on Josiah
This is what has been happening in Josiah’s life in the past week. We were pleased that he got a four-hour release from rehab so he could attend Grandma Hershey’s funeral meal. Since it is a one-hour drive each way, we encouraged him to just come for the meal where he could relax and his […]
High Family Lunch
Sunday, October 14 Bob and Doris (Cerwin’s youngest sister) were here from Minnesota, so we used the occasion to have a family lunch in our garage. Everyone brought something. We provided the soup – cheeseburger and chili. I got a cute shot of Eric and Megan’s little girl – Audrina. Jeff, Chris, Doris, Bob Donald, […]

On a Day Like This
On a rainy, cold, dreary day like this it is good remember a sunset from a few days ago.
Amish Church
The other Sunday, while enjoying my second cup of coffee – and waiting for time to leave for our church – I heard the clip-clop of horses and knew one of the Amish families in our neighborhood was having church at their house. It was a beautiful, foggy, fall morning. I missed seeing most of […]
Two Days After Surgery!
What should I do with this guy? He has been feeling really well and is pain free, so he decided to go for the mail. The mail lady hadn’t gone yet so he came back with this! We had some wind yesterday. I almost called out for him to stop, but it was too late. […]
Happy Birthday to Our Favorite Jeff

Home from Bucks Montgomery
Sunday, October 1 This follows the Bucks-Montgomery post I entered the day before Cerwin’s surgery. By the way, Cerwin is doing very well and has almost no pain today. Our nurse daughter-in-law stopped in this evening and encouraged him to start taking his pain pills every 5 hours instead of every 4 hours. Back to […]
Cerwin’s Hernia Surgery
This “cell phone photo” post is especially for our friends and family who were praying for Cerwin’s surgery this morning. This photo was of Chaplain George Freeman (Shrewsbury, MA) praying for Cerwin before we left our final TFC Conference meeting last week. We felt your prayers this morning. We arrived at Ephrata Hospital at 8:30 […]

Update on Josiah
Sunday Afternoon, October 21 We had an appointment with a rehab specialist at Reading Rehabilitation Hospital on Sunday afternoon to see if Josiah can transfer from his walker to one of our vehicles. We took our van because the doors are larger – making it easier for him than our RAV4. He went through the […]
