Saturday, April 14, Was Our Church’s Baseball Tournament
Mummau Park is a perfect place for this event – and the weather was close to perfect.
I took more than 700 pictures, so decided to tell you about the day in a series of similar photos.
Today is a bit about some of the general information.
There were lots of spectators – most from our church.
Sisters – Sabrina and Brieanna.
Today is Sabrina’s birthday – Happy Birthday!
Somebody was a bit cool. I won’t tell you who this is, but she’s a granddaughter.

I expect it was easier for them to have a relaxing day knowing that we had a visiting minister the next day.
The day is always a fundraiser for two people or couples from our church – usually someone who has had recent medical expenses.
The food is part of the fundraising.
The french fries were delicious and served by sisters, Rebecca and Joanna.
As you saw by the list, there was plenty of food.
Bases are waiting for runners. This is first base.

The four teams are ready – Retro Red, Orange, Red, and Gray.
Orange, Red, and Gray are part of our church’s teams for this summer. Retro Red is made up of former players.
I was going to say that ‘retro” is French for old guys, then discovered by Google that it had it’s origins in French and Latin.
I particularly liked the list of synonyms in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary: antique, oldfangled, old-school, old-timey, old-world, quaint, old-fashioned, retrograde.
