The Egg Hunt
Sunday Afternoon, April 8
Photos by Roy, Deb, & Doris
Dave, Laura and their boys Caleb and Benny look for eggs.
Emma
The youngest children went first.
Then the bigger ones joined the search.
I see Kelci, Regan, Andrew, Heidi, Amy, Jana, and Laura.
Mike, Sarah, and their daughter, Katie watch as the young ones gather eggs.
Ashlea and Ian
Madison hurrying toward eggs
Brenda helping one of their “granddaughters”.
She and Steve care for and mentor young women who need a place to live for a period of time, and some who have gotten themselves into a variety of problems. Many of the women live in their house (the homestead where we grew up). This is one of the young women’s daughters.
Jana, Jesse, and Pip
Looks like Caleb found a blue egg.
Andrew, Jere (with camera), me, Emma, and Jesse.
Jesse was pleased with his basketful of eggs. Each child was told to find twenty eggs.
Deb is in charge of the egg hunt every year. There are all kinds of things inside the plastic eggs – including notes that mention the prize that you have won. It looks like Jesse won a bunny.
Heidi eating candy from one of her eggs.
Mike with Emma and her prize.
Jared checking how far he can pull the tail of his stretchable mouse.
Emma and her mom.
David and Laura helping Caleb empty his eggs.

The egg hunt began at 4:30 – just before we had supper with my siblings and their children. More about that tomorrow night.
