Blessed be the Lord,
Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day,
even the God Who is our salvation!

Building a Gun Cabinet
Our grandson Jordan needed to choose a graduation project for his senior year of high school, as well as a mentor to work with him. Mentors can not be parents, so who better to teach him than grandpa.
The project began with construction plans and the purchase of lumber.
He’s ready to begin.
Jordan cutting plywood to the correct length.
Gluing and clamping
Checking to see if the walls are square
Base cabinet (for ammunition).
More gluing and clamping
Attaching hinges
Installing small, door shelves
Completed interior
Finished oak veneer, ten-gun cabinet

Good job, Jordan

Who can measure the wealth and wisdom
and knowledge of God?
Who can understand his decisions
or explain what he does?
Romans 11:33 (Contemporary English Version)
Decisions Not Circumstances
The outcome of your life
is a result of your decisions not your circumstances.
Friends, this world is not your home,
so don’t make yourselves cozy in it.
Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul.

Youth Bible School Chorus
Charity Ministries
Our granddaughter Abigail and Cerwin in the foreground.
We arrived early – hoping to get good seats for the 667-member choir last night. Most seats were reserved by those who had been there all afternoon, but we did find three seats next to the bass section.
It was interesting to watch the principals and matrons organizing the massive choir. Each of these young men and women participated in the Youth Bible School during the week, and came from across USA and a variety of foreign countries.
The one that really mattered to us was our granddaughter Hannah – who you may remember spent the week with us while attending the Bible school.
Getting ready for a final practice by singing a verse of one song.
It may appear that there are more girls than guys, but I think it was fairly equal. The girls were in the front-center, while the guys were in the back rows.
By 7:00 p.m. there was barely a empty seat to be found. I expect there were about two thousand people in the building – including the choir. The a cappella singing was fabulous. When the audience joined in singing several songs, it seemed that we could have raised the roof.
This program was the close of the Youth Bible School and evening revival meetings. I am not real familiar with Charity Ministries, but was impressed by the evening.

Hannah and her friends headed back to Maine this morning. She called shortly after 5:00 p.m. to let me know that they had arrived home safely.

TFC South Jersey Banquet
Saturday Night
We left home about 2:45 p.m. to get to Pittsgrove, New Jersey, by 5:00 p.m. There are still some pretty, yellow trees on the mountain to our north, but most leaves are beyond peak – or on the ground.
This trip is one of my favorites, as it takes us through Amish and Mennonite country.
An hour and a half later, the country roads are behind us and we’re crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge…
…and a short time later, entering New Jersey.
This is a small banquet, but it’s always special, because most of the people are familiar to us.
Hawley Ham, has a fabulous singing voice and an interesting testimony. Before Christ transformed his life, he was a nightclub singer.
Chaplain David Weaver was the evening’s speaker.
Chaplain Sam Houchins shared a short personal and chapel update. I forgot to take a picture when he was speaking, but got this one of him taking a picture of me.
Cerwin used a PowerPoint to show photos about the chapels that have been built and delivered since this time last year.
The room we use at Kountry Kitchen has beautiful lights.
I tried taking unique photos of any kind of lights I saw on the two-and-a-half-hour drive home.
At least it kept me awake!
The gold pattern on the right is from rain on the windshield of our car.
It was a good evening, but I was ready for bed when we got home about 11:15 p.m.
Trust God, my friends,
and always tell him each one of your concerns.
God is our place of safety.
