TFC South Jersey Banquet
Saturday Night
We left home about 2:45 p.m. to get to Pittsgrove, New Jersey, by 5:00 p.m. There are still some pretty, yellow trees on the mountain to our north, but most leaves are beyond peak – or on the ground.
This trip is one of my favorites, as it takes us through Amish and Mennonite country.
An hour and a half later, the country roads are behind us and we’re crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge…
…and a short time later, entering New Jersey.
This is a small banquet, but it’s always special, because most of the people are familiar to us.
Hawley Ham, has a fabulous singing voice and an interesting testimony. Before Christ transformed his life, he was a nightclub singer.
Chaplain David Weaver was the evening’s speaker.
Chaplain Sam Houchins shared a short personal and chapel update. I forgot to take a picture when he was speaking, but got this one of him taking a picture of me.
Cerwin used a PowerPoint to show photos about the chapels that have been built and delivered since this time last year.
The room we use at Kountry Kitchen has beautiful lights.
I tried taking unique photos of any kind of lights I saw on the two-and-a-half-hour drive home.
At least it kept me awake!
The gold pattern on the right is from rain on the windshield of our car.
It was a good evening, but I was ready for bed when we got home about 11:15 p.m.
