Stacking Wood and Making Donuts

Part One

Friday, February 26

It is easy to see that firewood is important for heating the Stauffer’s two homes.

The first job on Friday was to move this stack of wood into the small shed.

Japheth and Aimee’s six oldest children were Cerwin’s helpers.

Meanwhile, in the house Juanita was mixing a batch of donuts.

It didn’t take long for the little girls (Lynne and Loraine) to get cold and decide to come inside and help with the donuts.

Supper at Dale & Fayetta’s Home

Thursday, February 25

DSC_0011.JPG

As you can see, we had a beautiful drive to their house – just as the sun was setting in north central Minnesota.

I took these pictures from the back seat of Bob and Doris’ car – through the front window – trying to avoid people’s heads, sun visors, the rear view mirror, and window frames.

I like this picture, because it captured the premeal activity in the kitchen.

Fayetta’s mother and Cerwin’s mother enjoyed visiting.

We were honored to be invited into their home.
