Mountains
While enjoying my second cup of coffee yesterday, I noticed bright sunlight at an eastern window ~ which usually indicates a pretty sunrise.
I went outside ~ barefooted and in a housecoat to capture pictures.
That’s when I noticed what the sun was doing to the mountain on our north.
The mountain is currently drab ~ because the leaves are brown or gone ~ but not this morning!
The entire mountain was a brilliant orange.

Cerwin is home from another hunting excursion.
He took these photos with his Nikon Coolpix 4600.
This time he was at a cabin in Coudersport, Pennsylvania ~ where he has been hunting since 1972.
They have to park their cars here and carry luggage and supplies across the footbridge.
The pretty stream they have to cross.
Cerwin has been hunting with some of these guys since 1958. That’s fifty years! He was sixteen the first time he went to Potter County.
From 1958 until 1972 they stayed at someone’s house, then in 1971 some of the men purchased this land ~ which included a rundown cabin ~ and built this one.
Whitetail hunting isn’t very good in this area anymore, but they have a great time just being together.
One of the men does the cooking. Cerwin says they have Thanksgiving every meal.
Cerwin likes to go for the weekend ~ to scout his hunting territory, and enjoy Saturday night’s bluegrass music. Several hunters come from other cabins to listen or join in. Dick (left) brought a banjo for Cerwin this year. He rarely plays ~ especially a banjo ~ but loved the opportunity to join in with the old familiar tunes and gospel songs.
He chose to only hunt on Monday this year. He saw a few doe, but no buck.
The view from an upstairs bedroom window.
The area where he hunts.
Wednesday he is hunting locally ~ then he is going back to West Virginia to try and fill one or both of those tags.
~~~
He has taken a three-week vacation from building chapels. Next week it will be back to work for him!
