When Hannah and Abigail went to the van – to take Abigail to work at the horse farm – they could not move it off the spot because the back wheels were sitting on ice. Josiah tried to help – but in vain.
Hezekiah and Grandpa went to help – and in this picture are discussing how to make it work on the count of three – and the girls were on their way.
Mark had to go to Logan Airport in Boston to pick up a load of high school students who were returning to school (a private school in Biddeford) after Christmas vacation. Since the bus wasn’t full, Cerwin went along for the day.
Here at the house we continued in vacation mode – playing games, reading, and watching a few DVD movies. The children are homeschooled, and will pick that up after we leave on Thursday. Since I had been sitting so much the past three days, I decided it was time to get in a two-mile walk on their treadmill.
We knew the men wouldn’t be home until almost bedtime, so ordered pizza and watched Friendly Persuasion on my laptop – at the kitchen table. Mark called when the movie was just about over to see if Hezekiah and Josiah wanted to go along to the bus terminal (South Portland) – since he was coming by the house.
Mark and Diane live one house away from Route 1 so it was an easy stop for the boys to get a ride.
Cerwin really enjoyed his day – especially getting a tour of Boston.
