The Peace Of God Is…
Trusting Him to Keep His Promises
Understanding His Timing
~~~
I needed to practice trusting Him and understanding His timing today.
We were planning to mail The Extra Mile newsletter tomorrow, but, for the first time in sixteen years, I had to call those who were coming to help – and tell them I will call when it is ready.
My schedule for this newsletter seemed doomed from the beginning!
- I almost canceled before I started writing it a few weeks ago – because I was so far behind in my office work – due to damage to our office equipment in July.
However, when we went to Western New York a few weeks ago, the writing came easy as I entered words in my laptop – while traveling. The master went to the printer right on time.
- I ordered forty EMM mail trays at the post office the other week, however when they came on Thursday, they were the wrong size.
Today I was able pick up the correct ones.
- I don’t usually have a tough time getting volunteers, but so many seemed to have a scheduling conflict with tomorrow.
I even had two who said they could come, call today with a conflict.
- Today, about lunchtime I prepared to print 5,588 addresses on newsletters with my brand new, Pitney Bowes printer.
I thought the printing would take me less than two hours. The first four trays printed quickly, then without warning the machine died. No power.
I unplugged every cord, rebooted anything that needed rebooted, but still nothing. I hope to find out what is wrong when the technician comes tomorrow afternoon.
People can make many different plans.
But only the Lord’s plan will happen.
