Thursday, May 31 This was our gift to Lauree to celebrate her birthday – earlier in the month. We had a delicious and relaxing evening. It was fun to hear about the house they are working on and their August wedding plans. (I didn’t take any pictures of our entrees.) Nate and Lauree shared this […]

Sunday Afternoon, May 27 We used the PerfectPotluck link where each couple chose two food items to bring to the meal. I set up a variety of categories. It worked quite well. This is my siblings, their children, and their grandchildren. This was Lauree’s first time at this meal. Jared and Andi may be discussing […]

Tuesday, May 22 We met at their house before going to JoBoy’s Restaurant in Lititz. This was to celebrate Jenna’s birthday – which was at the end of March. It was fun to see the room they are preparing for the baby they expect in July. We were impressed with their beautiful yard. Thanks, Dustan […]

Sunday Afternoon, May 20 Dustan and Jenna have chosen to not know if they are having a girl or a boy, thus there were pink and blue decorations. After this baby’s birth in July, we will have three great-grandchildren. We are so anxious to see this little person. The two grandpas (center) Jeff and Scott […]

Friday Morning, May 18 I asked him how old he was on this birthday (May 10). He put up four fingers as he continued drinking his orange soda. I told him that I wanted a nice smile. This is what I got. I asked him to do a softer smile. I got this. My favorite […]

Mother’s Day

I love Mother’s Day because each of our children do something extra to express their appreciation for my mothering. However, the weekend also makes me feel inadequate as I listen to all the nice things people say about their mothers. I expect none of us were or are perfect mothers, but most of us have […]

A Walk With Anthony

Wednesday, May 2 It is always an “experience” to go on a walk with Anthony. He doesn’t miss a thing. In this picture he is looking at a dogwood blossom. He is “spraying” fertilizer on the field – a true sign that he is growing up on a farm. 🙂

Saturday Evening, April 14 This entry has a lot of pictures, but only a few comments will be needed. If you noticed Hannah’s bandaged fingers, it was because she jammed them in the barn earlier in the day – and needs to keep them elevated Books continued as the theme of this evening. Nsimba wants […]

Saturday Evening, April 14 The surprise Nsimba was quite pleased that he pulled it off. Elizabeth thought they were going out for supper. Baby Shower ~ The Decorations

Saturday Evening, April 14 The baby shower for Nsimba and Elizabeth focused on books.   Diane and Hannah did a great job in coordinating toys, food, and other items to book titles. The upper left was kept empty until Nsimba arrived so the name for baby in Lingala could be added. I think Lingala is […]

Saturday, March 31 You may remember that I posted this picture – for prayer – on Sunday, April 1, because our son-in-law’s father and mother (center) were in a car accident, and as a result his dad, Roy Myers, passed away. We have this picture because Nsimba and Elizabeth were in their area for a […]

Sunday, February 11 When we heard that Reuben, Judi, and their family were visiting from Wisconsin, we knew that we needed to have another family get-together. 🙂 Because there are always last minute things to do before lunch, we came home after Sunday school and listened to the church service by cell phone. My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
