| Frost, Sunrise

Sunday, Morning December 6 I have lived in our house for the past 48 years, but never get tired of our morning view – especially in wintertime when the fields are empty and I can see the homestead where I grew up. It looked especially pretty on this foggy, frosty morning. The sunrise even affected […]

A Cold Saturday Morning

| Flowers, Frost

Saturday, December 5 It will soon be the last time we see colored dogwood leaves this fall as we are beginning to have some cold, frosty mornings. There was a bit of ice in the bird bath. I’m surprised that we still have roses. This rose is edged with frost. I am sure these tender flowers in our patio […]

Doing a Project to Represent Our Church

Sunday, November 29 Our Elder-in-Charge (David Wenger) asked if I could find two photos that describe our congregation – for a district meeting in 2016 – and submit them to the person who asked for them. You may be surprised to know that I have a lot more than two. 🙂 However, I didn’t have one of morning […]

| Family, Food

Saturday Morning, November 28 Cerwin burning the trash pile near the pavilion has nothing to do with our brunch, other than it happened the same morning. (I took this picture from a house window.) He wanted to get this job done before winter. He was still stirring it when it was time to go to Anne’s house […]

Friday, November 27 I loved the pastel coloring of this day’s sunrise and sunset. The evening was similar. Every day is a new story – a new sky-painting by God.

Thanksgiving Day Meal – Part 1

Thursday, November 26 The sun was just right to take some pictures of Jere and Kristen’s crabapple tree when we arrived at their place just before noon. Kristen was putting ice in the glasses. I relieved her of that job so she could go back to the kitchen. She loves preparing and cooking this meal and invites our […]

Wednesday, November 25 Enjoy the sunrise and frost. Frost is delicate and pretty and soon gone with the rising sun. It looked especially pretty on our mint tea. So glad that God created sunrise and frost and eyes to see it.

My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
