More Trucks Arriving
These Came Between 9:19 and 9:37 a.m.
Do you recognize this one from being in our driveway a few months ago? It is owned by our son Jeff and his wife Chris. Jeff is driving.
Chris is driving this one – also owned by them – accompanied by their daughter Gloria.
Love the old ones!

Trucks Arriving at Lebanon Expo Center
TFC’s Pennsylvania Truck Rally
Saturday, June 23
The Rigidply “stage” was one of the first trucks to arrive on Saturday morning – about 7:00 a.m.
Our grandson Jordan is on the trailer, our son Jere is talking to the driver, and Gene Gehman, Truck Rally Coordinator is in the front of the rig. Jere and Jordan were preparing to set up North Hall for the afternoon benefit auction.
After taking supplies to a variety of areas, and helping a few other people get situated, I asked Marv Sauder if he would give me a ride on his gater – to the spot where I take pictures.
It was about 8:45, and as you can see there were already trucks on the lot.
I settled in on my comfy lawn chair and began taking pictures of the arriving trucks.
This grouping of trucks arrived between 8:45 and 9:19 a.m.

Preparing for the 2012 Truck Rally
Friday Evening & Saturday Morning – June 22 & 23
Chaplain Jake Wise (right) brought International Chapel #1 to the Lebanon Expo Center on Friday evening, and showed Cerwin a potential problem with this tire. Decision: It must be replaced before Jake and Jane take the chapel to Fergus, Ontario, Canada.
By sunset several vendors had arrived, and the committee was almost finished with their Friday night duties.
It was a beautiful warm evening even though a quick thunder storm had moved through the area an hour earlier.
There were already several trucks on the grounds.
Early (6:00 a.m.) the next morning, most committee members and several key volunteers met for breakfast. Before the meal Gene Gehman (Rally Coordinator) asked God’s blessing on the meal and on the entire day.
As you will see in the next few entries, God honored our prayer for a safe, enjoyable day.
You answered me when I called to you;
with your strength you strengthened me.

The Last Photo of the Truck Rally
Dinner with Roy & Deb
When the Rigidply driver pulled the flatbed stage out of North Hall just before 3:30 p.m., we knew the Truck Rally was officially over for 2012.
There is so much to say, so many wonderful, behind-the-scenes happenings, so many blessings, and so many treasured moments, that it would take too long for this happily weary lady to begin sorting and posting some of my 1,086 photos. So I will begin tomorrow evening.
After the Rally Celebration and catered lunch, the Rally Committee met to discuss what worked and what wasn’t successful this year. After a final check that all doors to the Expo were locked, Cerwin drove International Chapel #1 back to its home at the International Office. I followed in our RAV4 so he would eventually have a way home.
Within minutes Roy and Deb came to pick us up to take us to a special location for Cerwin’s Father’s Day gift.
To my surprise, we ended up at Cameron Estate Inn & Restaurant, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.
It was a special treat for me, because my mom grew up just a few miles from here. I went by this place many times as a young girl when we went to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Hawthorne, but have never been here.
I will tell you more details about this wonderful evening in a later post.
It was delightful. Thanks Roy & Deb.
He has shown me the path to life,
and he makes me glad by being near me.

The Day Closed With a Light Show
Lebanon Expo Center, Lebanon, PA
We just got home from TFC’s Pennsylvania Truck Rally.
It was another good Rally with near perfect weather – leaning a bit to the warm side. That made it good for the ice cream vendor. ![]()
I will show you more details during the next week. There was a good turn out with 198 trucks.
