Three Generations of Hunters
3 Buck
Grandpa Cerwin, Grandson Nathan, Son Jeff, Grandson Jordan.
Jordan has to wait for another day to bag his deer.
Cerwin (6-point), Nathan (8-point), Jeff (5-point)
The men had fun being together tonight, and seeing each others deer. Cerwin was hunting in a local woodlot, Jeff and his boys were in another woods about forty-five minutes away.
Nathan was pleased to have the largest rack.
Jeff”s five-point originally owned a larger rack…
…as the top of the left antler is broken and most of the right antler is gone. He must have been in a serious fight.
Cerwin’s six-point dropped on the spot when he shot it.
Our “hunter-gatherers” have provided meat for our freezers.
Pray With Us
Last night we were made aware of a painful and discouraging situation in “our” world.
It is our deepest desire that God be honored and glorified in our lives – and that others will see Jesus in us.

Man’s Wisdom Never Looks Like God’s Wisdom.
Praise the Lord With Us
Today was a highlight as our granddaughter Diana was baptized.
Responding to the questions from Carl – one of our ministers.
The baptism.
Prayer
With her parents – our oldest son and daughter-in-law. We love you Diana, and look forward to seeing what God has planned for your life.
Another baptismal highlight was that of our “adopted” niece, Dani. After some tough experiences in life, she came to live with my brother Steve and his wife Brenda.
It is a joy to watch her begin a new life in Christ. Love and blessings to you, Dani.
Whatever Happens
Conduct Yourselves in a Manner
Worthy of the Gospel of Christ.

I Love Modern Technology
I just received an email from our son Jere, with a photo of his dad enclosed.
Cerwin with the doe he bagged in New York on Wednesday.
I Am Blessed!
While most of you are full of turkey and the extras, and many mothers are exhausted (but happy) from cooking for their family, I had the privilege of enjoying quiet – alone most of the day. (The men are still hunting.)
I sat in my Laz-E-Boy, watching TV – news, Gaither Homecoming, a great Hallmark movie, more news, and I just started watching another Hallmark movie that looks like it could be even better than the first. I did all that while working on my laptop – adding several hundred addresses to my database.
For lunch I had soup and babysat three grandchildren so our daughter-in-law Kristen could take their oldest son and an elderly friend out for lunch.
These are my two favorite pictures from today
“Grandpa – I ate all your peanuts.” ~ Jared
This was my supper. Kristen brought it – ready to eat.
Shrimp cocktail and Starbucks coffee – it doesn’t get any better than that!
About an hour after Kristen took the children home, I got a phone call. On the other end was four-year-old Ian. He was crying so much, I could barely understand what he was saying. It seems he put a GameCube game in his pocket so he could play it at home. Somehow mamma found out, and he called grandma to ask for forgiveness.
As soon as I told him that I loved him and that he was forgiven, he said, “Can I play it now mamma” Kristen in her wisdom said, “Not tonight. “Grandma said you may play it, but you must wait until morning because you didn’t ask her for permission to bring it home.” Of course that brought more tears.
Every time something like this happens, I am reminded how blessed Cerwin and I are that each of our grandchildren is being raised by wise parents.
Fall
A poem by our granddaughter Jenna
Fall is fun
I ate a sticky bun
I pick up leaves
Can I have a cookie please
I have thanksgiving
I’m glad I’m living
I watch the leaves fall
I thank you for all.
Hunting Trip to New York
This time they are headed to an area near Ithaca.
Left to right: Cerwin, Jere, Ivan, and Jeff preparing to leave our house at 5 AM this morning. Jere and Jeff are our sons. Ivan is our son-in-law.
Cerwin called this evening to tell me he had gotten a doe.
A pretty sky before evening rain.
Learning Curve
Today I learned how to use two new machines in our office.
The Inserter
It is amazing to watch this machine fold paper, insert it into an envelope, and seal it. A card or smaller envelope can also be inserted.
Tabbing Machine
This one closes newsletters with a small round tab.

Some days I think I am too old to learn these newfangled things, but it is nice to have this wonderful, automated equipment.
Later in the day a supporting business who is planning a Christmas party, wanted me to email a PowerPoint slide that sumarizes the TFC ministry. I even figured out how to do that – which was quite easy. I send lots of pictures, but had never tried a PowerPoint slide.
Tonight I am going to let my brain rest!
