She will bring forth a Son
You shall call His name Jesus
He will save His people from their sins.

What was your guess?
It’s the “tail end” of a swan!
Just as I took the first picture it went searching for something under the water.
I think he was not impressed that I was taking flash pictures, because he started ruffling his feathers.

This evening we went to the butcher shop to get dried beef from the buck Cerwin shot a few weeks ago. It is so delicious!
We had gotten eight sweet bolognas the other week and took three back to be sliced.
While we waited for the butcher to slice the bologna, we noticed these FoodSavers, and decided with so much meat to freeze, it was time to get one.
Now you know how I spent my evening…
…sealing bologna and dried beef into FoodSaver bags. I wonder why we never purchased one of these before.
Can You Guess What This Is?
Tonight I was taking a picture of something – and got a good photo – but also got this one.
I was outside – in the dark. What do you think it is?
I’ll tell you tomorrow evening. ![]()
God is more interested in who you are than in what you do.
God is more interested in your character than in your comfort.
God is more interested in making your life holy than in making your life happy.
Rick Warren
Something to Think About
Is Jesus the Reason for the Season
or
Are We the Reason for the Season?
~ ~ ~
I love when I read or hear something that keeps rattling around in my brain.
(Our Sunday School superintendent brought this to our attention.)
Jesus is truly the person we honor and worship at Christmas,
but in reality, we are the reason for the season.
~ ~ ~
Why?
Jesus gave up residence in Heaven because you and I are sinners and need a redeemer.
Which means, from God’s point of view…
We are the reason for the season!
