Part Six
Golf Cart ~ Sliding Board ~ Snow
The best way to get around the grounds on a muddy spring day was this electric golf cart.
It was fairly easy to find a willing driver.
This pretty teenager was my driver when I wanted to see the lake in the woods.
She graciously stopped every time I wanted a photo.
The mud was the reason nobody wanted to walk to the lake.

Part Five
The Barn ~ Hide & Seek ~ Lady Bugs
The upper part of the barn houses a great game room.
Carpetball
The goal is to get the opponent’s five balls in the pit at his end of the table – before he gets five in the pit at your end.
Watching Uncle Lanny’s white cue ball knock some of his balls into the pit. Don’t feel sorry for him though. Lanny and I each played several games with this little guy ~ he won all but one.

Part Four
Meals
Mealtime was casual, but very well planned.
Eunice…
…and her dad were in charge of the general organization and preparation.
However, everyone brought something, often a homemade speciality from their house.
Lois and her husband arrived late in the day – after tending market in Ohio. Their specialty is hydroponic lettuce http://www.cropking.com/NFT_Lettuce_Herbs.shtml.
She graciously gave us two heads. It is so crisp and fresh, which is especially refreshing this time of year.

I had my eye on this salmon all day (which was thawing in a sealed bag on an outside deck table), then watched as Sam added seasonings and prepared it for the oven.

The family knows the value of prayer, and took time to thank the Lord before each meal.

Cerwin picked up the newly-lettered chapel, which we will take to Chilliwack, British Columbia, in early April.

We met Galen and Lois for supper. Cerwin needed some advice about cross-country trucking. Galen has been doing that for years.

It was wonderful to visit with Lois. We haven’t seen each other for a few years. Thanks, Galen for the great advice. Cerwin is feeling a bit more confident about trucking through the northwest.
