I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me.

Make yourselves at home in my love.

If you keep my commands

you’ll remain intimately at home in my love.

Saturday’s Photo Shoot

Part Six

Golf Cart ~ Sliding Board ~ Snow

1a (15).JPG

The best way to get around the grounds on a muddy spring day was this electric golf cart.

1a (16).JPG

It was fairly easy to find a willing driver.

3 (16).JPG

4 (19).JPG

This pretty teenager was my driver when I wanted to see the lake in the woods.

4 (20).JPG

She graciously stopped every time I wanted a photo.

4 (21).JPG

The mud was the reason nobody wanted to walk to the lake.

This next lake is in front of the house.

How would you like this for a sliding board?

5 (14).JPG

Imagine all the splashing that goes on at this end when summer arrives.

However….

Saturday’s Photo Shoot

Part Five

The Barn ~ Hide & Seek ~ Lady Bugs

The upper part of the barn houses a great game room.

Saturday (1).JPG

Carpetball

Saturday (2).JPG

The goal is to get the opponent’s five balls in the pit at his end of the table – before he gets five in the pit at your end.

Watching Uncle Lanny’s white cue ball knock some of his balls into the pit.  Don’t feel sorry for him though.  Lanny and I each played several games with this little guy ~ he won all but one.

Saturday (12).JPG

“There he is!”

John-John’s turn to count.

“I found you!”

“What did you find under the bench?”

Saturday (15).JPG

“Ladybugs.”

“They’re dead, but they are so beautiful.”

Methinks her little body houses a gentle soul.

Another installment tomorrow night.

Saturday’s Photo Shoot

Part Four

Meals

2 (1).JPG

Mealtime was casual, but very well planned.

2 (2).JPG

Eunice…

2 (7).JPG

…and her dad were in charge of the general organization and preparation.

2.JPG

However, everyone brought something, often a homemade speciality from their house.

2 (20).JPG

Lois and her husband arrived late in the day – after tending market in Ohio.  Their specialty is hydroponic lettuce  http://www.cropking.com/NFT_Lettuce_Herbs.shtml

She graciously gave us two heads.  It is so crisp and fresh, which is especially refreshing this time of year.

2 (11).JPG

Peas and carrots from someone’s 2007 garden.

2 (10).JPG

Chicken

2 (8).JPG

I had my eye on this salmon all day (which was thawing in a sealed bag on an outside deck table), then watched as Sam added seasonings and prepared it for the oven.

2 (9).JPG

The delicious, finished product.

2 (12).JPG

The family knows the value of prayer, and took time to thank the Lord before each meal.

More photo shoot pictures tomorrow night

This Afternoon

DSCN1699

Cerwin picked up the newly-lettered chapel, which we will take to Chilliwack, British Columbia, in early April.

This Evening

Galen and Lois 1.JPG

We met Galen and Lois for supper.  Cerwin needed some advice about cross-country trucking.  Galen has been doing that for years.

Notice the many reflections in the mirrors – and Cerwin taking the picture.

Another Reflection

It was wonderful to visit with Lois.  We haven’t seen each other for a few years.  Thanks, Galen for the great advice.  Cerwin is feeling a bit more confident about trucking through the northwest.
