Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Tuesday, June 15

Grandsons Jordan (left) and Nate (second from right) practice before a game.

Going to a baseball game is not one of my favorite activities – but we do enjoy watching our grandsons play on our church’s red team once or twice a summer. (Our church also has a grey team.)

Ken sees coaching as a ministry, thus the quote on his shirt “preparing for rain” means preparing the soil and planting seed in these young men’s lives.

A Collection of Pictures From Mid-June

Ian

I still have a few photos from the second week in June when our youngest grandsons were here. They love when I allow them to “clean” with a cloth and a bottle of Windex.

When checking how to spell Ring-necked Pheasant (I wasn’t sure if a dash was needed) I learned that they were brought to our county from Russia or Asia.

Complaining is Not a Fruit of the Spirit

Check it out in Galatians 5:22. It’s not on the list.

That’s what I have been thinking about as I prepare a message for a future date.

Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It’s the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts.

The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise.

Because we had a two-hour drive (and needed to get granddaughter Jana at a friends house) we left as soon as we got our cake. On our way to the car we discovered that my brother, Dale, his wife, Dot, and their daughter, Sarah, did the same thing.

So ended a wonderful day.
