Thirty-One Party

Tuesday, October 19

1

I never heard of this kind of home party, so when our niece Amy sent me an invitation – and I had the evening open – I decided to check it out.

It was a fun party with ladies and girls who are friends or relatives of Amy.

The consultant, Donna Neff, is standing in the background. If you live in the Lancaster/Lebanon area of Pennsylvania and would like to host a party or order a product, you can contact her at  www.mythirtyone.com/dneff. I asked for permission to take photos and promised to advertise for her.

I understand that Thirty-One got its name from Proverbs 31.

Most of the products are purses and bags in a variety of sizes and materials.

I purchased a winter “grandma bag” for church. We often have grandchildren sitting with us, so I like to keep things in my church purse that are small, quiet, and fun to play with – and there must always be room for a small bag of Gummy Life-Savers.

What a fun evening.

This was a lively and fun class of men and women who went through Candidate Training School at TFC’s International Office. They came from Ohio, Nova Scotia, Michigan, and Massachusetts.

1 (1)

I was there on Monday to teach them about good communication – especially through newsletters. To my left is Mark Garrett from Massachusetts.

1 (2)

Inge – standing – is explaining the procedure of mailing the initial newsletter and information packet to those on their mailing list.

Helpful Grandsons

Jesse was here one day recently when I was doing a chaplain’s mailing – and loved helping.

Putting envelopes in a mailing tray

2 (3)

2 (4)

Each time the inserting machine stopped because it was out of envelopes or newsletters, he loved pushing the start button when I said, “Go.”

2 (6)

Inserting a tag in a mail tray

Ready to move a covered tray to the finished stack.

2 (9)

Each day he has been here since then, he asks, “Mail, grandma? You have any mail?”

10-15-10 (10)

All three boys were here one evening and asked to make bead necklaces.

10-15-10 (8)

They love doing this.

He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.
