This little girl came over to me and said, “Hi Doris Jean.” I was quite surprised, because I did not know who she was. It turned out that her name is also Doris Jean. What fun to meet a small Doris Jean. She is Nathaniel’s cousin.

The Reception

Early in the day – before the wedding – I took a photo tour of the fellowship hall of our church where the reception was going to be held.

The tables were beautiful with black table cloths and decorations chosen by Nathaniel and Abby.

My youngest brother, Steve, and his wife, Brenda, oversee wedding receptions, and many other meals that are held at our church.

At 12:45 p.m. the fellowship hall doors were opened, and about 240 guests found seats.
