TFC’s Bucks-Montgomery Banquet
Friday Evening, September 16
I went directly from the Jubilee photo shoot on Friday afternoon to TFC’s Headquarters Office to meet Cerwin and take the newest promotional chapel to the Bucks-Montgomery Chapter Banquet (Philadelphia area).

Picking up tickets from Loren and Jason
Bunny O’Hare, Director Wellness, fine-tuning his notes.
We presented Truck Rally slides as guests arrived.
The Paul Fehr family sang prior to the meal.
We enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Franconia Heritage Restaurant Banquet Conference Center.
Penny surprised Chaplain Howard Jones by traveling from West Virginia to this event.
Penny was heavily involved in witchcraft when she entered the TFC chapel near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in late summer 1987. Howard was the chaplain on duty, and kindly dealt with her bad attitude, gave her a New Testament, and prayed that God would enlighten her life. Within days she came back, received Jesus Christ into her life, and asked to be delivered from many demons.
The King’s Strings (John and Cindy King family) were a delight to listen to as they played gospel music and several fun songs. See here.

They invited several audience members to help with this song.
What fun!
Andrew passed his drivers test just before coming to the banquet.

They took a short break while Jim Frankenfield shared his story of being in a truck stop in Virginia when a tornado hit, and Bunny O’Hare gave a ministry update.

Their website says they have been compared to the Von Trapp Family – and I can understand why.
I asked Howard, Penny, and Tish to pose for a picture.
It was a wonderful, refreshing, encouraging evening.
Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived.

Friday Morning, September 16
On Friday morning I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph and learn more about Jubilee Ministries.
My friend Sherry (left) was the one who asked me to go with her to photograph staff, inventory, and buildings for a Powerpoint presentation at Jubilee Ministries Banquet on October 6.
If you live in the Lebanon, Pennsylvania, area and are interested in the banquet, or in shopping at the store, go here.
They have beautiful furniture…
Crafts
Kitchen supplies
Clothing
Formal dresses
Hats
Purses
Dolls
Everything is donated – some things appear to be new, others are previously used.
We toured the office and photographed staff at work.
There are halfway houses for inmates who have been released from prison.
This is where they learn to live wisely. There are Bible studies, classes on finance – anything that will help them live a godly, worthwhile life.
~~~
I took hundreds of pictures, but am posting only a few – to interest you in learning more about this ministry, to tell you about the fabulous store with great bargains, but mostly because the photos were taken for Jubilee Ministries to use at the banquet and for future advertising.
~~~
Next we visited the Lebanon County Correctional Facility – the real focus of Jubilee Ministries.
Jubilee supports the chaplain ministry at this prison.
I am posting even fewer photos of this visit for obvious reasons – the security and privacy of those who were photographed.
It was a great experience to walk the halls, meet a few inmates, and many of the dedicated staff: wardens, security, secretaries, and chaplains.
Thanks, Sherry, for trusting me with this opportunity and experience.
Trust the Lord, and do good things. Live in the land, and practice being faithful.

It’s been a busy two days – and it’s almost 10:30 p.m., so you will have to wait until tomorrow to see what we have been up to.
I do have time to give you a bit of a hint of my Friday morning photo shoot for Jubilee Ministries upcoming banquet.
It is the Lord who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion.
He turns darkness into morning and day into night. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land.
The Lord is his name!
Amos 5:8 (New Living Translation)

Every blessing You pour out, I’ll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Rain & Cooler Temperatures
~~ Thursday, September 15 ~~
When I heard rain this morning, I thought about those who have not yet dried out from the flood a few days ago.
The sky did look promising behind the dark clouds, but it was a cool, rainy day.
I decided to walk around the yard – and get wet – as I looked for rainy day pictures.
Crepe myrtle blooms
A single, yellow leaf on our patio table.
The crepe myrtle buds looked pretty in the rain.
I did not see the spider web until I looked at the pictures.
The reflection of our garage door light.
A spider web between porch rails
Rain water from the spouting
Dogwood leaves are beginning to look a lot like fall.
Corn was planted late in spring because of rain. Now the fields are muddy again, and it is soon time to harvest corn silage.
Though we didn’t need rain, it was fun taking pictures this morning.
The plans of the Lord stand forever. The plans of His heart stand through the future of all people.
Psalm 33:11 (New Life Version)

There is great security in knowing the plans of His heart stand firm – forever.

We were surprised – and pleased – when UPS delivered a small package yesterday.
It contained four packs of fabulous fudge brownies. Yes, you only see three. We ate one before I took a picture.
Oh, yum!
Thanks, TFC Chaplain Jim & Cindy Smalley.
Today we had another surprise delivery.
Peaches from Wanda Fahnestock. I expect they came from Fahnestock Orchards.
Thanks, Wanda.
There were cards, lots of email, Facebook, and Xanga blessings, well-wishes, and congratulations.
Tonight when Jere and Kristen came for their children, they gave us this fabulous looking jelly from Chaberton Estate Winery.
I think I know what I will put on my toast tomorrow morning.
Thanks eveyone! We feel loved and blessed.
