Our Trip Home
Day 19 – Saturday
Howe, IN, to HOME!
The rain followed us through Indiana and Ohio.
It was good to see this sign – after nineteen days on the road.
It was even better to see the scenery of my favorite state.
Lunchtime was our last visit to a truck stop.
Then we were on the road to enjoy more Pennsylvania scenery.
When we were in the west, Cerwin asked if we have such pretty skies. I said we did, but we have to look at the sky through mountains, hills, and trees.
Penn State – only two-and-a-half hours to home.
Yay for our loyal Penn State Fans!
I don’t think our trees were this green when we left home.
We also have beautiful rock formations.
The Susquehanna River
5,902 miles later we are back in Marietta – safely – with one chapel delivered and another trailer ready for construction.
I could not stop looking at the beautiful, flowering trees on the nineteen-mile drive home from the office.
~~~
We called our two daughters to let them know we were home (one lives ten hours away, the other lives one hour away), and stopped to visit our two sons and their families. It seemed like a long time since we had seen them.
~~~
Just one more hill – and we were home!
~~~
Cerwin and I are overwhelmed by your concern, prayers – and God’s protection.
~~~
PS: The rain did follow us home. We were not home very long before a thunderstorm came through this area.
