Traveling to Quebec

(I had this ready to enter last night, but couldn’t post due to maintenance being conducted by Xanga.)

About one hour after leaving the house, we got to see a beautiful sunrise.

The prettiest scenery was in the Catskills of NY.

The trees were also colorful in the Adirondacks, but the sun had given way to clouds…

…then drizzle.

Before long we were in serious rain, which lasted through the rest of the trip.

We had no problem at customs.

After arriving at Mathieu’s, we learned that Murray and June spent three hours at customs yesterday, before getting the chapel across the border and delivered to Irving Big Stop, St-Liboire.

After arriving at Claude and Huguette’s house, and unpacking our car, we went to the truck stop for supper.

They asked for English menus for us.  I laid Huguette’s senior menu page next to mine to show you some of our choices.  I ordered cream of carrot soup ~ which was fabulous!

It was dark and rainy, so I will take pictures of this beautiful truck stop tomorrow.

Then it was time to relax and watch the news in their living room.

Huguette folded sheets…

The men watched the news and discussed chapel setup plans for Wednesday, Huguette knitted, and I sat with laptop on lap, looking through the 132 pictures I took.  Before going to bed, we enjoyed popcorn and ice tea.

We are sleeping in their guest room, which is also their office, so I am sitting on Claude’s office chair with my feet propped up on our bed while I make this early morning entry.
