Traveling Home
After spending six days enjoying the hospitality of Claude and Huguette, it was a bit difficult to say goodbye this morning.
They were our translators, tour guides, chauffeurs, and bed & breakfast providers.
Merci, Merci.
During our week, we were most surprised by all the farmland. We saw thousands of acres of corn.

It was a beautiful, crisp morning as we headed toward the border today.
Notice the frost on the roadside grass and weeds.
We treasured our days in Quebec, but it was good to see signs to our homeland.
Waiting for our turn to cross the border.
The attendant asked a few more questions then when we entered Quebec last Tuesday, and wanted to see inside the back of our CRV. When he noticed Cerwin’s tools, step ladder, and the PA license plate from the chapel, he had a few more questions. However, after Cerwin explained our purpose for being in Quebec, and presented his business card with a photo of a chapel ~ we were told to go through.
A few scenes from the Adirondacks in northern New York.
The fall colors are almost “over-the-hill”, but the morning was glorious, making the scenery so enjoyable.
The trees were a bit prettier in the Catskills, but many of those leaves are also beyond their peak colors.
Truckers always get my attention on a road trip.
After ten hours on the road – our familiar, country roads looked wonderful.
Two more miles.
Seeing a sunset from our front yard looked so good again.
