A Busy Week
At the end of last week I received information on doing layout & design and mailing for five TFC newsletters. (That is my basic responsibility in TFC, but it is unusual to receive so many staff newsletters in two days!) Thankfully one is not supposed to be mailed until early April. (I received another newsletter last night. Thankfully this one is also for April mailing.)
As of Thursday morning, I had three newsletters, one brochure, and one donor card (for insert with a newsletter) at the proofreaders – and one ready for printing.
Four are now ready for printing and mailing. They came from Omaha, NE; Ontario, CN; Shrewsbury, MA; and Syracuse, NE. I am waiting for final information on the one from Sioux Falls, IA.
I expect printing and mailing these should keep me out of trouble until Tuesday morning when we leave for the Mid-America Trucking Show, Louisville, KY, where Cerwin and I will participate in representing TFC at a vendor booth.
Thursday Afternoon
Communications Meeting – Doris, JJ, Scott, and Inge
TFC’s Communications Team had our 3rd Thursday, 3 PM meeting at the Clubhouse in the apartment complex where Inge lives.
The free coffee and warm cookies were what enticed us there this time!
I am not a committee person, but enjoy meeting with these three. Our purpose is to keep TFC’s publications and communication literature coordinated and “on the same page.” I like that we don’t spend a lot of time on “fluff”. Each person comes with a list of items to discuss, we discuss it, and the meeting is over.
JJ is editor of TFC’s monthly publication Highway News and Good News; Scott is TFC President and CEO; Inge is Executive Assistant to the President, and one of my proofreaders.
