Target Practice 101

Sunday Evening

Since there was no school the next day, Hezekiah asked if Josh could stay overnight.  It sounded like a good idea to us, because we planned to spend Memorial Day working in our yard.

Twelve-year-olds are so much fun, have so many ideas, and want to do grownup things.  That evening they wanted to learn how to shoot a .22, so talked Cerwin into some target practice.

A quick thunderstorm shortened their practice.

The rain was soon over ~ so they decided to “hunt” for pesty squirrels.

Of course the squirrels didn’t show while they sat on the patio, but they had a fun evening learning how to be “hunter-gatherers.”
