Walking With a Three & Four-Year-Old
Yesterday while caring for our youngest grandsons, I thought it would be fun to walk to our Amish neighbors (half mile) to deliver some photos I printed for them (the children holding the bunnies) last week.
Ian and Jared were excited to walk to the farm.
Walking with little boys is like taking a puppy for a walk ~ EVERYTHING must be investigated! In this picture, Jared was interested in some soft tar on the blacktop.
Every mud puddle had to be checked out, and several stones thrown in ~ to watch them splash.
Dandelions seeds must be blown away.
The girls were so glad to see me. They thought I forgot about their pictures. When I take pictures of them, their animals, or around the farm, I print them on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, and punch holes into it so they can put them in a note book.
They were pleased to show the boys their “carriage horse.” The mules were in the field today.
I was surprised the boys were comfortable getting so close.
They asked the boys if they wanted to see their brand new calf…
…and dog.
They played in the sandbox while I talked to Sadie (the mother).
After getting home, the boys wanted to check the mailbox.
I liked this picture of them walking in step.
Grandpa got home from the auction a short time later. Jared crawled into his lap ~ and both promptly fell asleep.
