That Was Fun!
Yesterday, while working in the office, the door opened, and I heard some young voices.
It didn’t take me long to realize that Jana, Abigail, Josh, Ian, and Jared had walked to our house. Abigail (their summer nanny ~ and our Maine granddaughter) does a good job of keeping the children entertained while Jere is at work and Kristen is in the hospital.
After a drink of water and a few gummies, they were on their way back home.
As I walked out the driveway with them, I noticed that our daisys are just about ready to bloom.
Then we noticed the sweet scent of honeysuckle and Josh asked if he could suck the honey out of a few blossoms.
Jana wasn’t sure she would like it, but was “brave” and really liked the taste.
Then they were on their way.

You Won’t Believe What I Did Today!
It was something I have never done in all my 63 years and 4 months.
I got a pedicure and manicure.
(I know, I know, you guys won’t find this real exciting ~ but some of the women and girls may enjoy this entry!)
This day happened because our twelve-year-old granddaughter, Jenna, wanted to get a manicure and pedicure as one of her “special” grandma days. She gets seven special days this year.
So with her parents permission and our youngest daughters help, we made the day happen.
Our youngest daughter, Deb, and Jenna getting started with their pedicures.
She’s already enjoying this ~ and has just gotten started!
Ahhhh, this feels good.
I think I can get used to this!
Jenna loves her white-tipped toe nails!

Okay, let’s check on my sixty-three-year-old-feet-that-have-never-been-pedicured.
(While the pedicure was being done, the chair massaged my back and shoulders.)
Life is tough some days! ![]()
I think they are beyond help!
Look what the girls talked me into!
I’ll have to make sure I wear sandals this weekend. ![]()
Deb is braver than us, and had a butterfly painted on each big toe nail.
~~~
Next it was time for manicures.
We settled for pinkish-clear polish on our nails.
That was fun! I love being pampered now and then.
Jenna said, “Grandma, can we do this again sometime?”
I think I started something!
