Congratulations to our nephew, Kurt, on his graduation from high school.

Fresh Fruit

Kurt’s mom, my youngest brother’s wife, prepared a delicious meal at our family’s pavilion.

My middle brother, my sister, and I have houses is the same four-acre woodlot, where the pavilion is located.  (My other two brothers live in the farmhouse a quarter-mile away.)

Some of the younger ones enjoyed the hammock.

Hezekiah and Jenna climbed to the playhouse above the hammock.

 Ian

One of our grandchildren took this picture of Ian walking toward our house.  It typified the beautiful, peaceful evening.

Notice the sun setting, through the trees to the right of Ian’s head.  At first I thought it looked like a fire!

Sunday Afternoon

Congratulations to our niece’s son, Justin, (right) on his graduation from high school.  (I do not know the name of the girl autographing the dog.)

Justin, Jeremiah, and Cerwin

The local readers will recognize Justin’s friend Jeremiah as the young man who played and sang the part of the beast in the recent musical “Beauty and the Beast”.

Jeremiah’s summer job (before college) is at the same stone quarry where Cerwin held his first job.  They enjoyed comparing the quarry today and almost fifty years ago.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon for an outdoor party.

Sunday Evening

Congratulations to our grandson, Nathan, right, on his 14th birthday.  (His cousin, Danny, on the left.)

Our oldest son, Jeff (left) and grandson Nathan (right) escorted Cerwin’s mother from the car when we arrived.

Since we took Mother to Justin’s party, she was pleased to go along to Nathan’s party.

Watermelon was refreshing on a warm afternoon.

Delicious venison kebabs were the main course for supper.

This (air/pellet) gun was a highlight of his gifts, along with a jel target.  A neat way of capturing the pellets for reuse.

Jeff and Nate follow the guidelines for attaching the shoulder strap.

Gloria brought Hope (I mistakenly called her Lovie earlier.  Wrong lamb!) to introduce to great grandma

al (22).JPG

Hope is very tame since she had to be bottle-fed as a baby.

Checking to see if the cat would be her friend.

These daylilies look delicious.

Since she was discouraged from eating flowers, Hope settled for grass.

Oops!  She leaned back a little too far.

Hope decided ice cream cake may taste better than grass!

al (46).JPG

Since Nate didn’t let me taste his cake, maybe Hezekiah will let me have some.

Nope, I guess not!

al (48).JPG

Yes!  Jenna gave me a taste.

We all laughed as she shook her head and licked her lips – not sure what to do with this strange taste and texture!

When supper was over, Jordan donned a helmet and took several spins on their dirt bike.

The rest enjoyed relaxing and visiting.

When someone asked Chris if their raspberries were soon ready, I had to check them out.

I liked this photo of Nathan and his new gun – against the evening sun.
