Christmas Day 2007
My Favorite Pictures of Our Day
After a relaxing morning, we went to Jere and Kristen’s for a 10 a.m. brunch.
Before eating, we helped the little ones sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
Notice the birthday candle at the bottom left.
Cerwin and I easily found our seats.
This sweet potato casserole was part of our delicious brunch, prepared by Jere and Kristen.

Jana sat in her new chair while showing me her new book and watch.

After coming home at noon, Cerwin, Josh, and I prepared the house and garage for an evening Christmas celebration with Cerwin’s family.

Crystal and Jakey announcing their engagement.
Before prayer, Cerwin’s brother Elvin and his wife Patti told us their daughter Crystal and boyfriend Jakey had an announcement.
Everyone brought food for the buffet supper.

Now-You-Have-It-Now-You-Don’t Gift Exchange
The adults (twelve years and above) purchased and wrapped a $7 to $10 gift if they wanted to participate in the game, where everyone received three numbers. A chosen gift is not safe until their last number is called.

Mel and Velda (Cerwin’s sister)
After we all had gifts, we took turns opening them and revealing the giver.
Jeremy, Gabi, Mother, and Donald (Mel and Velda’s son)
Cerwin, Jenna, and Jordan
Grandsons, Jordan, Josh, and Nathan.
These three are staying with us for the next three days – to help Cerwin with installing basic wiring and insulation in the chapel he is building for a truck stop in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
Josh was pleased with his package!
Diana, Jeff, Chris (with a Yatzee game), and Elvin (Cerwin’s brother).

Crystal and Dorretta (Mel and Velda’ oldest daughter).

Following that we played an “Open Gift” Now-You-Have-It-Now-You-Don’t with the children, similar to the one we played with our children on Sunday.
~~~
Donald brought some old slides that he had changed to digital pictures, so we showed them, plus new pictures from a family wedding earlier in the year, and hunting pictures the men wanted to see.
Summary: A Wonderful Day
