Jesse as the Muffin Man
Thursday, January 31
Jesse posed with his muffins before going to preschool so we had a picture to send to his mom and dad who were in San Diego for the week.
At school – and ready for his presentation.
The day was Nursery Rhyme Show and Tell with parents, grandparents, and friends invited.
The children are learning about words that rhyme.
This little girl was Red Riding Hood.
The children had to guess who Jesse represented.
Baker’s Man was the first guess…
The muffin man, the muffin man,
Do you know the muffin man,
Who lives in Drury Lane?
Yes I know the muffin man,
The muffin man, the muffin man,
Yes, I know the muffin man,
Who lives in Drury Lane.
The audience always clapped when each student was finished.
Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
Up Jack got and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper;
And went to bed and bound his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for my master,
One for my dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.
Jack Be Nimble
Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
Jack jump over
The candlestick.
Another “Jack” to represent Jack and Jill.
Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey,
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her
and frightened Miss Muffet away.

What fun to be reminded of the days when I memorized nursery rhymes and learned about words that rhymed.
