Visiting Hannah’s Workplace

Bath, Maine

We thoroughly enjoyed getting a VIP tour of the ReStore Outlet Store in Bath – just a few miles from where the Myers live.

Though I was familiar with Habitat for Humanity, I was not aware that they have outlet stores throughout the country until our granddaughter Hannah began working here.

They have many kinds of building and household things that are donated by individuals or businesses. In this photo Cerwin and Hezekiah are looking at paint.

She also spends time here – behind the same counter – checking through incoming supplies and pricing them for the floor. On the day we were there the area had many cans of paint. She said each can must be opened to make sure the paint is okay.

There is even a small lending library.

We were impressed with the supplies that were available in this store and even got an idea for a project we will be dealing with next spring or summer when we remove our wall air conditioners.

The profits from each store goes toward the homes that are built by Habitat for Humanity.
