Truck Show at Jason Shelly’s Shop
Saturday, September 15 – Part 2
Partway through the afternoon I noticed a new vehicle – an old bus that had been used by the music group, The Basics.
As I walked toward the bus, I saw this little guy on the back of a rig playing peek-a-boo with someone.
The inside of the bus.
Renita Shelly gave the children ATV rides.

Common Cents began their concert at 4 p.m.
They were a great addition to this truck show.
This little guy grabbed his milk bottle and danced to the music.
She and the little guy in the previous picture reminded me of the poem by William W. Purkey
You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.
I thought these dirty feet were a perfect way to close the truck show pictures!
I can still feel the warm sunshine of this beautiful evening.
Before long we were driving into the setting sun.
As we approached our house – about 9:00 p.m. – we noticed nearby fireworks and remembered that our local village was celebrating our fire company’s one hundredth birthday.
It was a wonderful day.
