Our Hunter-Gatherers Are Home

If you don’t like seeing pictures of hunters and their deer, exit this post right now, because there are a lot of them.

The successful hunters at D & S New Hope Lodge in West Virginia.

Jeff, Nate (yes, he had two tags), Joram, Jere, and Jordan. Cerwin did not see a buck on this trip.

This is what happens when a gun scope hits your nose. Jeff had to make an awkward shot to get his buck.

Nate got a nice six-point and a small eight-point.

Jordan’s buck is a lopsided six-point. Notice one side of the antlers is long and the other side is short. The cause for lack of growth on one side was probably because he had an injured leg from earlier in the year – maybe a car accident.

Just before they left, our brother-in-law Marlin came in with a buck.

Nate’s unusual eight-point.

Their next stop was the butcher shop where hamburger, sausage, bologna, and steaks will be prepared for the High and Zuck family freezers.
