Truckers Against Human Trafficking

We had a delicious meal and enjoyed seeing good friends at Dover Fire Hall, Dover, PA.

 

 

 

 

One of the fun things the York Chapter does is hold a silent auction which benefits TFC.

 

 

It’s where I got a good deal on a gift certificate and a catalog featuring perennials and bulbs.

 

 

After the meal The Gabriels blessed us with great gospel music. It’s always a special treat to hear them – especially because Derek (right) is my cousin Diane’s son.

 

 

Bunny O’Hare (TFC’s Director of Chaplain Wellness) gave a ministry update.

 

 

Cerwin shared a chapel construction update.

 

 

The evening closed with another concert by the Gabriels.

One of the things TFC has done in recent years is to become involved in trying to stop human trafficking – especially at truck stops. The other day I read this note on a truckers against trafficking link. This is what motivates us to do what we can to free human trafficking slaves.

I am writing to say thank you for your work. I was prostituted by my father from infancy to early adolescence in the 1970’s and early 1980’s to support his drug addiction. I grew up near an interstate and truckers were one of his most popular clientele. He drove me to truck stops and also arranged for truckers to come to our house. To know this work is being done within the trucking industry to combat this atrocity makes me happy and grateful.
