Visiting Roy, Deb, & Their Critters
Sunday, March 18
Shortly after arriving at Roy and Deb’s place, I sat on the couch next to Cerwin. Soon Pip stood at my feet and made a scolding baa. I soon realized that I was sitting where she wanted to be, so I got up, and she jumped right up onto the couch.
The goats slept while we had lunch, then it was time for Pip to get her portion of milk.
Everyone knows that after a baby nurses, it usually needs its diaper changed.
Alan the squirrel was a newborn orphan last fall, so by the time he was old enough to be on his own, it was too cold to release him. He will be released in their back yard before long.
Deb uses all kinds of seeds and nuts to entice birds and squirrels to their deck. They see several squirrels they have released.
It was a beautiful day, so Roy decided to take his Harley for a short ride.
Inside, Skippi Rae woke up and enjoyed a lunch of lettuce.
Recognize this? It is Rocki Racoon sleeping in her sleeping bag. Her sister Ricki is just behind her in a red sleeping bag.
Waking up
Before we left, we wanted to watch Pip and Pep playing in the yard.
For some reason they liked the sand.
Spring flowers also interested them.
Deb wanted to show me how they butt her hand.
Roy’s sister, Mary, had a good way of making them butt her hand. She snapped her fingers.
Mary (Roy’s sister), Barb (his mother), and Roy
Roy was being silly, so Mary snapped him with her finger!
Pip-Squeak giving Roy a kiss.
Pepper sucking on Deb’s ear.
Both goats are still very tiny, but healthy and growing.
